Australian listed Resolute Mining has released an updated mineral resource estimate for the Tabakoroni landholding in Mali.
The new estimated mineral resource at Tabakoroni is 6.3 million tonnes at 5.1 grams per tonne for 1.03 million ounces of gold. Tabakoroni is part of Resolute’s land holdings at the Syama gold mine in southern Mali. Resolute started open pit mining operations at Tabakoroni in 2018 and is currently mining high-grade oxide and transitional material which is processed through the 1.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) Syama oxide processing plant.
The new Tabakoroni gold inventory is inclusive of a maiden underground mineral resource of 5.2 million tonnes at 5.1 grams per tonne of gold for 850 000oz of gold (at a 1.5 grams per tonne of gold cut-off grade).
