Regular contributor to African Mining, Claude Baissac, will share his knowledge about country risk at a lecture at UJ in November.
Business leaders rank geopolitical and country risk (GCR) as a key factor impacting strategy, profitability and continuity. Terrorism in Central and West Africa, for example, are contributing to increased uncertainty and business disruption. As a result, political risk insurance claims and premiums are at a 30-year high.
To address these issues, Claude Baissac, CEO of Eunomix and a regular contributor to African Mining, will share his in-depth knowledge of Africa and global country risk at a lecture titled “Geopolitical and country risk until 2024” at UJ’s Johannesburg Business School on the 12th of November 2019. Baissac, who advises several companies on a range of GCR issues, will focus specifically on how these risks will impact business and how companies can stay ahead of the curve.
So, if you operate a mine in Africa, or have ambitions to, don’t miss this important event.
