RS South Africa, a trading brand of RS Group plc (LSE: RS1), a global provider of product and service solutions, will exhibit at the Mining and Technical Exhibitions (MTE) Phalaborwa Mining & Industrial Exhibition which takes place at Laerskool Phalaborwa Noord (Rooi Skool) between 13h00 and 17h00 today.
RS says it is well positioned to supply mining and industry with the quality, robust products they need for arduous and demanding operation conditions and the company partners with its suppliers to offer specialised equipment that can be used in tough environments.
Mining operations at Phalaborwa have created the widest human-made excavation in Africa, an impressive open pit mine that spans almost 2km. MTE has tailored this exhibition to cater to the iron, copper and phosphate ore needs of the numerous open pit and underground mines in the area. This expo will also target the specific needs of Palabora Mine Company (PMC). Andrew Macnamara, MTE operations director says, “We always have overwhelming support from the PMC and Foskor operations in the area at this annual tradeshow.”
“The MTE events afford us an opportunity to share the latest industrial technologies and solutions to design, build and maintain operations in essential sectors such as mining and industry,” says Erick Wessels, RS sales director. RS supplies more than 750 000 products across 2 500 global brands. Private-label brand RS PRO will be highlighted at the show, which features over 88 000 products across different technologies.
